Gonçalo Ramos is one of the 23 players in Rui Jorge’s list for the last three matches of the U21 National Team in the Euro 2021 qualifiers, which will take place Hungary/Slovenia, against Belarus, Cyprus and Netherlands.

In addition to Gonçalo Ramos, there are six more players trained at Sport Lisboa e Benfica: João Virgínia (Everton), Pedro Pereira (Crotone), Tomás Tavares (loaned to Alavés), Florentino Luís (loaned to Monaco), Gedson Fernandes (loaned to Tottenham) and Jota (loaned to Valladolid).

Benfica fought until the end for a different outcome in the last 16 of the Club World Cup, but after extra time they fell to Chelsea (1-4), thus ending their journey in the first edition of the competition in the United States of America. In a game that was interrupted in the 86th minute due to the threat of a thunderstorm and ended almost five hours after the kick-off, Di María leveled the score at 90'+5' (1-1), taking the match into 30 minutes of extra time, during which time the result hung in the balance for the English at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
