Benfica walked away with its head held high, this Wednesday, in the women's Champions League, after losing against Chelsea (3-0) in the second leg of the last 32. With a 8-0 score on aggregate, the reds bid farewell  to the most important club competition.

The President of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, Luís Filipe Vieira, and the coach of the men's football team, Jorge Jesus, were present in the women's football training session before the match against Chelsea, in the last 32 of the Champions League, and showed their support to the team coached by Luís Andrade. The Club's chairman spoke about " unprecedented fact" and left a guarantee: "If you have the same determination, will and drive, surely you can make more surprises." The coach praised what Benfica has done to promote women's football: "They are taking important steps to value women's football.
