Nycole Raysla, a 20-year-old forward (26-03-2000) of the women's football team, renewed her contract with Sport Lisboa e Benfica until 2026. 

"I'm very happy to extend my days here, representing Benfica. It is a huge honor. I am happy and focused on doing my job", she admitted to BTV, after the contract renewal.

In less than two years, Nycole Raysla Silva Sobrinho has 22 goals in 30 matches with the Sacred Mantle, adding to this good displays also in the Brazilian national team, for which it recently debuted.

"It's a great moment, but I'm always looking to improve and evolve. I hope I can help the team. May we achieve our goals and bring many joys to the supporters", wished Nycole.

Benfica fought until the end for a different outcome in the last 16 of the Club World Cup, but after extra time they fell to Chelsea (1-4), thus ending their journey in the first edition of the competition in the United States of America. In a game that was interrupted in the 86th minute due to the threat of a thunderstorm and ended almost five hours after the kick-off, Di María leveled the score at 90'+5' (1-1), taking the match into 30 minutes of extra time, during which time the result hung in the balance for the English at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

After a day off, Benfica's professional football team trained at Waters Sportsplex in Tampa on Thursday, June 26, with their sights set on the round of 16 of the Club World Cup.
