Sport Lisboa e Benfica – Futebol, SAD has reached an agreement with FC Shakhtar Donetsk for the sale of all the sports rights of the player Pedrinho for 18 million euros.

The agreement is "dependent on the completion of the medicals and the signing of a sports employment contract". The statement sent to CMVM also mentions that Benfica SAD "will not have any cost with intermediation services" and that it "will assume the responsibility with the solidarity mechanism" regarding the transfer.

Pedrinho represented Benfica in the 2020/21 season. The Brazilian attacking midfielder made 31 appearances (19 in the Liga NOS, 4 in de Portuguese Cup, 1 in the Super Cup, 2 in the League Cup, 1 in the Champions League qualifiers, and 4 in the Europa League), totaling 1019 minutes. The left-footed player scored a goal.

Vertonghen "very happy" for the 50 matches with an eagle on his chest

Jan Vertonghen was a starter in the center of Benfica's defense in the game from matchday 6 of the Liga Bwin against Boavista at Estádio da Luz on September 20 and he reached a milestone in his career with the Sacred Mantle. "I am very happy for the 50 matches with an eagle on my chest!", share the Belgian international in Portuguese.


Diogo Gonçalves makes 50 appearances in the first team

Diogo Gonçalves featured in Benfica's starting eleven against Boavista, in a match held at Estádio da Luz, for matchday 6 of the Liga Bwin. In a game in which he reached 50 matches for the eagles first team, he provided the assist  for Darwin's goal, which opened the scoring in the 3-1 triumph. "I am very happy to have completed 50 games for Benfica's first team. May 50 more come, together with all of you! Thanks for the support", shared the defender, addressing the Benfiquistas.
