Brasil was 0-1 down against Colombia, on matchday 3 of Copa America 2021, when, at 77', national coach Tite decided to field Everton. Brazil was trailing at the "Engenhão", in Rio de Janeiro, but completed the comeback with Benfica's winger on the pitch (2-1) e, and clinched the third win, confirming the top spot in group B and qualifying for the quarterfinals. 

Evertou replaced Gabriel Jesus (77'), integrated into the Canarinha's offensive maneuver and had 86% pass accuracy. In addition, he won two ground duels (100%) and made two tackles, according to the Sofascore platform.

Brazil plays again on June 27 (10:00 pm), on matchday 4 of group B, to face Ecuador.
