A starter for Brazil against Ecuador in the game from the last round from group B of the 2021 Copa America, Everton was one of the standout players at the Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos, in Rio de Janeiro. The Benfica winger played 78 minutes and provided the assist for Brazil's goal.

Besides playing 78 minutes for the Brazilian national team, with one assist, the Benfica winger stood out in important statistical parameters such as successful dribbles (four out of five), ground duels won (six out of 10), key passes (one),  crosses (six) and pass accuracy (20 passes completed out of 23 carried out, which translates into 87% accuracy). He also made two interception and one tackle, according Sofascore platform.

With 10 points, Brazil finish in the top spot of group B. They will play again on July 2 in the quarterfinals of the Copa America.
