STATEMENTS WITH BTV

At only 18 years of age, Amélia Silva revealed herself to be a promising player. Wearing the Club's jersey since 2018, the forward penned a contract with SL Benfica until 2024. 

"It is every player's dream to reach this level. I am very happy to represent the club of my heart", commented Amélia Silva, in statements with BTV, after signing the contract with Benfica.

The athlete is recovering from a injury sustained in February on matchday 5 of the  Liga BPI championship round, against CS Marítimo.

"It was a huge vote of confidence from Benfica. The recovery couldn't be going better, and I should be back sooner than expected [nine months]. I will respond with work, dedication, and I will come back as strong as possible", claimed the young player.

Needing just one point to celebrate, Benfica's U19 team became champions after a 2-2 draw against FC Porto in round 13 of the championship round, and lifted the trophy on the pitch, celebrating afterward with the fans who were tireless in their support for Luís Araújo's team. Estoril-Benfica: extended highlights (1-2)

What a great atmosphere in Amoreira, it's the Red Wave! Visiting the Estádio António Coimbra da Mota for the 32nd and antepenultimate matchday of the Liga Betclic, Benfica imposed themselves and won 1-2. The Eagles' goals on Saturday night, May 3, were scored by Aursnes and Otamendi.

The rain, the cold, the wind, the late hour... nothing stopped the Red Wave from making its presence felt and carrying Benfica to a 1-2 victory over Estoril at the Estádio António Coimbra da Mota in matchday 32 of the Liga Betclic. Aursnes (7') and Otamendi (36') scored the goals for Glorioso. Determined display, goal achieved in the fight for the title.

The celebration of the five-time champions at Benfica Campus!

Before and after the match from matchday 21 of the Liga BPI, against Clube de Albergaria (5-0), the women's football team of Benfica was showered with crowds while celebrating their 5th league in a row. The afternoon began with an autograph session attended by hundreds of fans and, at the end of the game, there was time to lift the trophy and take it to the central stand of Benfica Campus Field No. 1, in a celebration in total communion with the fans.
