Benfica's technical and performance director, Luisão, believes that Spartak Moscow is a "difficult opponent" in the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League.

"It is a difficult opponent, we have to consider the long trip, but Benfica, even with these trips, is always prepared so that everything goes for the best. The team coached by Rui Vitória has a South American touch – for example, the striker [Ponce] – and has Victor Moses. They played good matches in the pre-season, but we will be prepared for that", highlighted Luisão to BTV

Knowing that Spartak Moscow will officially be the first opponent of the season, Jorge Jesus' preparation will be directed to this encounter, as already noted by Luisão. "With the coach we have everything is treated to detail. Knowing the opponent, who has a Portuguese coach, who knows Benfica well (as we also know him), the preparation starts to be focused on that game. The opponent starts competing two weeks earlier, but our coach is also starting to get our players into a competitive discipline and at a high level to face themAgainst Almería, I have seen that competition environment", he finished.
