Sport Lisboa e Benfica bolters the men's futsal first team with the Russian international Rômulo Alves Nobre, 34, who in the last season represented KPRF Moscow.

"I know virtually all the futsal players in the squad. I watch the games, especially the derbies with Sporting. I played with Chishkala at Gazprom Ugra and also with Robinho in the [Russian] national team", he remembered, in statements with BTV.

"The intention is to arrive and help Benfica win all the titles we compete for. I am defender, it is my position. I like to help on defense as best I can. I am a player who likes to attack. I can promise commitment and intensity", he claimed.

Looking at the defender's resume, Rômulo started his career at Umuarama (2006 and 2007), then he moved to Santa Fé (2008). A move to Europe followed, first at Carnicer Torrejón (2008/09 to 2010/11), then at Dinamo Moscow (2011/12 to 2015/16), Barcelona (2016/17), Gazprom Ugra (2017/18) and KPRF Moscow  (2018/19 to 2020/21).
