Mario Tudose, 16-year-old center-back (01/21/2005), was signed by Sport Lisboa e Benfica.

Born in Romania, he represented FC Arges (club from the Romanian first division) in the last four seasons.

"I know Benfica is a great club, it was my first choice. I am very happy to be here and I hope one day to play in the Champions League. I am very happy to represent Benfica, and I hope that everything goes well", claimed the player in a flash interview with BTV. 

He is a U-16 and U-17 international with the colors of his country of birth.

Preparation on stage for the final

Ruy Castelo Branco, director of the Benfica Residential Academy, and Adriano Laaber, coach of the Benfica Residential Academy women's team, visited the Benfica Campus on Tuesday, May 20, where they had the opportunity to follow the daily activities. "The main objective of the academy is to develop the athlete with the Benfica methodology and combine the academic part with the athletic part," Ruy Castelo Branco told BTV. “Feeling and experiencing this on a daily basis, especially the energy of the Benfica Campus, is enriching,” he said, noting that the goal is to continue cementing the Club's values in the United States.
