Five SL Benfica players were called up, this Thursday, to the Under-21 National Team, for the start of the qualifying stage for the European Championship qualifiers of this category, to be held in Georgia/Romania in 2023.

In the 24-man squad, Rui Jorge called up the defenders Tomás Tavares and Tomás Araújo, the midfielder Paulo Bernardo, and the forwards Gonçalo Ramos and Henrique Araújo.

Tiago Araújo, on loan at FC Arouca, and Tiago Dantas, on loan at CD Tondela, are other players connected to SL Benfica that are part of this squad list.

Portugal faces Belarus, on September 6, at 7 pm, at Estádio José Gomes (Amadora).
