Sport Lisboa e Benfica and Chekhovskie Medvedi played, this Tuesday evening, at the Pavilion no. 2 of Luz, the encounter from matchday 2 of group B of the EHF European League. A great display, a triumph for the eagles: 38-35. 

With this result, the Glorioso has two wins, leads the group, and on November 16 travels to France to face HBC Nantes, in a game from matchday 3 of the competition.

Last training session before the trip to Leiria

Benfica, under Nélson Veríssimo, held on the morning of Monday, at Benfica Campus, the last training session before the departure to Leiria, where it will play the semi-final of the League Cup, against Boavista, scheduled for this Tuesday, January 25, at 7:45 pm. Henrique Araújo, the Benfica B forward, was called up to work with the first team. Absent were Otamendi and Darwin, called up for the national teams of Argentina and Uruguay, respectively, as well as the injured Lucas Veríssimo, Rodrigo Pinho and Seferovic.
