Benfica's canoeist ranked 1st in the International Canoe Federation's K1 1000-meter world ranking with 182 points.

Fernando Pimenta finished the year with a total of 182 points, amassed in the World Cup and World Championships, a competition he won after beating the Hungarian Balint Kopasz, who finished second with 164 points.
In addition to the record in K1 1000 meters, the Benfica canoeist was also in second place in the K1 5000 meters ranking, with 172 points.
It should be recalled that Fernando Pimenta won the bronze medal in K1 1000 meters in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
