Ana Catarina

Sport Lisboa e Lisboa goalkeeper Ana Catarina won the World's Best Goalkeeper award in 2021, a feat she had already achieved in 2018 and 2020.

Ten athletes were fighting for the title, but Ana Catarina won 1st place getting a total of 240 votes. The Spaniard Silvia Aguete Outón, with 197 votes, finished second, with the Brazilian Ana Carolina Caliari Sestari, with 180 votes, rounding off the podium.

On the collective level, the Benfica women's team, that in 2020/21 achieved the Treble (National Championship, League Cup and Super Cup) and that won the fourth league title in a row, achieved the 2nd place, with 197 votes, only surpassed by Burela (Spain), with 311 votes. In 3rd place, with 173 votes, came Taboão da Serra (Brazil).
