Four benfiquistas called up to the U-21 National Team

The U-21 national team coach has called up four benfiquistas for the two matches of the Euro 2023 qualifiers, against Iceland and Greece. The names of the chosen players were announced by Rui Jorge this Thursday afternoon, March 17, at the Cidade do Futebol.

The Benfica players in the squad list are Samuel Soares, Paulo Bernardo, Gonçalo Ramos and Henrique Araújo. 

Among the national team coach's choices are also Tomás Tavares and Tiago Dantas, athletes linked to the Club, but who are on loan this season.

The Portuguese national team will face Iceland, in Portimão, at 8:15 pm on March 25, and then travels to Greece, which it will face on March 29, at 7:00 pm local time.
