Darwin: "We were better in the second half and there was an unsanctioned penalty"

"Of course I am sad. Not only me, but we all are also, because we didn't want this result. They were better in the first half, we were in the second. Then, in the second half, there is that play [at 67', with the score at 1-2] where they put their arm in front of me and I fall... In my opinion, it's a penalty kick, it was not awarded, but it's part of the referee's job to see it, or not, and there's also VAR. I don't blame the refereeing team for the result because we also made mistakes. Now we have to work to go there and make the best result."

"In the second half we had more determination than them, we controlled, we scored the goal, we were close to scoring the second, but we didn't, and when they scored the third goal it became very complicated."

Gilberto: "Result does not reflect what happened in the match"

"We knew that they have fast players up front and that we would have to defend well. We managed to cancel out most of the attacks, but they scored goals, they are very competent players. We still have 90 more minutes to play, and we will believe until the end."

"At halftime, the coach told us to believe and play more, press higher, have more ball possession, and take advantage of the counter-attack. We scored a goal, we had more chances, but that's how football is. We played a good game, but the result does not reflect what happened in the match. We had a chance to equalize, it didn't happen."
