Everything happened at Anfield! Honor, offensive effectiveness, defensive set pieces, two disallowed goals for the eagles - one for the home team - and great Benfica support, before, during, and after, in draw (3-3) that was not enough for Benfica to cancel the 1-3 disadvantage from Lisbon and come out of the 2nd leg of the Champions League quarterfinals with qualification for the next stage of the competition. 

The eagles, eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Champions League against one of the favorites to win the competition, ended the match applauded by their fans (who were heard for 30 minutes after the game and before the athletes' gratitude). On Sunday, April 17, Benfica faces Sporting, at 8:30 pm at Estádio José Alvalade, on matchday 30 of the Liga Bwin.
