It is with great pride and pleasure that I congratulate our women’s handball team for the conquer of the National Championship, 29 years after the last one. A tremendous achievement for our club which takes place on the same date of their first game, 50 years ago.

This title results from the perseverance, resilience, and hard work of all the involved. Congratulations to the athletes, coaching staff and staff for this unforgettable season that brought us the 8th National Championship.

Your dedication is a source of pride to all the Benfiquistas and I am sure that we will keep winning in the future.

Preparing for a new clash

Benfica's professional football team began preparations for their clash with Auckland City on Friday, June 20, at 12 noon (5:00 pm continental time) at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, on matchday 2 of Group C of the 2025 Club World Cup with a two 30-minute halves training match against FC Naples on Tuesday, June 17. The Eagles won 2-1, with goals from Gonçalo Oliveira and Belotti.
