With their ninth consecutive national title in their thoughts, the Benfica women's roller hockey team had an authoritative start in Game 1 of the Championship play-off final on Sunday, June 19. Away from home, at Pavilhão João Rocha, the reds scored three goals against Sporting in 17 minutes and then managed the lead and won by 2-3.
