Football Youth Academy Department Soccer Schools

From June 20 to July 2, in Baku, Azerbaijan, more than 80 athletes spread over two weeks, will have the opportunity to experience the methodology and values of the Club, in the first Benfica Football Camp in that country.

Under the guidance of coaches Francisco Henriques and Tiago Marques, the athletes will experience unique moments, during two weeks of Benfica training, at the Abseron Olympic Sports Complex.

This activity results from a partnership with the Record Club, based in Baku, Azerbaijan.

15th National Meeting of the Benfica Soccer Schools

After a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the National Meetings of Sport Lisboa e Benfica Soccer Schools are back and the weekend of May 14 and 15 will be unforgettable for the nearly 5700 youngsters, born between 2007 and 2018, participating in the 15th edition. Between the Cathedral's pitch and the Artificial Turf pitch, 1276 matches will be played, with 50 schools - including from the islands of Madeira and the Azores - divided into 577 teams, fulfilling the dream of playing at Estádio da Luz. On display for the youngsters is the UEFA Youth League trophy, the first in the Club's history. Here are the best images from the weekend.

International soccer schools in friendly match at Luz

The teams from the Benfica Soccer School in Washington and from the Elite International Development program, developed for several years in partnership with Coerver Coaching, held a friendly match at the Estádio da Luz's artificial turf pitch. A moment that brought together two of Sport Lisboa e Benfica's international projects and allowed the youngsters to consolidate game concepts associated with the training methodology implemented by the Club.
