Sport Lisboa e Benfica informs that Celtic Football Club, from Scotland, has exercised the option provided for in the loan contract signed in August 2021 and secured the permanent signing of footballer Jota.

Jota made his official debut with the Glorioso first team on October 18, 2018. Integrated into the first squad in February 2019, he made six appearances in the 2018/19 season and took part in 28 matches (with 2 goals scored) in the 2019/20 season.

In the 2020/21 season, he played on loan at Real Valladolid CF, from Spain, where he made 18 appearances and scored two goals.
