Benfica beat Fulham by 1-5 this Sunday, July 17, and won the Algarve Troph. Rafa, Gonçalo Ramos (2), Yaremchuk and Henrique Araújo scored the goals of the team. Gonçalo Ramos was considered the tournament's most valuable player.

Odysseas was the only change in the starting eleven chosen by Roger Schmidt, who kept the other ten field players present in the triumph by 3-0, in Friday's match against Nice. Gilberto, Otamendi, Morato, Grimaldo, Florentino, Enzo, João Mário, Rafa, Neres and Gonçalo Ramos completed the German coach's choices for the decisive match of the Algarve Trophy. It should be recalled that Fulham, coached by the Portuguese coach Marco Silva, beat Nice this Saturday, July 16, by 2-0.

In front of almost 50,000 spectators at the Estádio da Luz, Benfica confirmed their qualification for the 2024/2025 Portuguese Cup final on Wednesday night, April 23, by beating Tirsense 4-0 in the second leg of the semi-final (goals from António Silva, Bajrami, Belotti and Barreiro). In the first game, the Eagles had won 0-5. Thus, with a 9-0 aggregate in the semi-final, the Glorioso reached the decisive match of the Portuguese Cup for the 39th time. A moving tribute to Humberto Coelho

Having celebrated his 75th birthday on Sunday, April 20, Humberto Coelho received a heartfelt and well-deserved tribute on Wednesday, April 23, at the Estádio da Luz, during half-time of the Benfica-Tirsense (4-0) second leg of the Portuguese Cup semi-finals. Captain for many years, he wore the Manto Sagrado for “14 fantastic seasons” and, on the pitch, he gave a special thanks to the fans. "This is more than soul, it's an extraordinary mystique! Only at Benfica can you feel this recognition and this glory and memory of having played for the best club in the world," said the former central defender.
