All square in the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League. In the 1st leg match at Arena Herning, Midtjylland and AEK Larnaca, Benfica's possible opponents, drew 1-1.

Playing at home, Midtjylland played in 3x4x3, with Olafsson; Dalsgaard, Sviatchenko, Juninho; Andersson, Evander, Onyedika, Paulinho; Isaksen, Anders Dreyer and Chilufya, had more initiative and more shots, but only got the goal at 84', through Sviatchenko.

The Cypriots played in 4x2x3x1, with Piric; Kypros, Tomovic, Milicevic, Garcia Cabezali; Luís Gustavo, Oier, Faraj, Trickovski, Gyurcso and Olatunji, and opened the scoring, at 81',through Gyurcso.

The 2nd leg of the 2nd qualifying round will be played on July 26, at 4:30 pm Portuguese time, at the AEK Stadium, in Larnaca.
