Sport Lisboa e Benfica informs that it has reached an agreement with Gil Vicente for the loan of the athlete Tomás Araújo until the end of the 2022/23 season.

The center-back spent six season with an eagle on his chest, during which he won UEFA Youth League (2021/22), and became U-19, U-17 and U-15 national champion. 

In the last two seasons he played in several Benfica youth teams, totaling 48 matches in the Liga Portugal SABSEEG for the B team, scoring three goals, eight matches for the Under-23, as well as 10 for the Under-19, with one goal scored.

Tomás Araújo made his debut for the SL Benfica's First Team on December 15, 2021, in the 3-0 victory against SC Covilhã, for the League Cup and amassed four official matches.
