It is with immense pride that I congratulate our men's basketball team on their unprecedented qualification for the Champions League group stage. This is a unique achievement for the history of our Club and for Portugal!

We took on the organization of one of the qualifying rounds to fight for a place in the Basketball Champions League, and we managed to accomplish our goal in an absolutely flawless way.

Although it is not the conquest of a trophy, it is an achievement in the history of Sport Lisboa e Benfica and, therefore, I want to congratulate the athletes, the coaching team and the staff for this extraordinary record.

It was a difficult and demanding journey, but the dream has actually come true. We are the first Portuguese team to reach this stage of the Champions League. Together, with the support of our fans, everything is easier. Your presence was fundamental in these three games of the competition.

A night of glory! On Thursday, May 8, Benfica's women's volleyball team won the national championship at the Pavilhão n.º 2 da Luz! In an emotional match 5 that only ended in black, the Eagles triumphed 3-2 thus winning this frantic play-off final by the same score. 50 years after their last victory, the Benfica Museum - Cosme Damião once again received the trophy for the National Women's Volleyball Championship.
