Fernando Pimenta, canoeist of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, is a world champion, this time in the K2 marathon, after winning, along with José Ramalho, this Sunday, October 2, in Ponte de Lima, the 29,80 km event in 1:58.04,39.

After winning on Thursday, September 29, the world title in K1 short race, marathons specialty, the canoeist of Benfica displayed his quality once again.

Fernando Pimenta and José Ramalho (from Clube Náutico de Prado) completed the 29,80 km event in 1:58:04,39, beating the Spanish Miguel Llorens and Alberto Plaza (1:58.10,40). The Norwegian Eivind Vold and Amund Vold reached the 3rd place (1:58.15,43).
