The Olympic Celebration 2022, an event organized by the Olympic Committee of Portugal, distinguished the best in sports. Benfica athletes Pedro Pichardo, Fernando Pimenta and Diogo Ribeiro were three of those honored on Thursday evening, November 17. 

For his achievements, Pedro Pichardo received the Sports Excellence Award. The eagles' triple jumper became European and World triple jump champion, titles that joined his Olympic title.

The canoeist Fernando Pimenta received the Prestige Award! From success to success, throughout the year 2022, he added titles, medals, and recognition in the most different distances and disciplines of his sport. The balance? More than 15 medals won, in a world and European context.

The swimmer Diogo Ribeiro won the Youth Award ! Junior World Champion (50 meters freestyle, 50 meters and 100 meters butterfly), he also won the silver medal at the European Junior Championships (100 meters butterfly) and the bronze medal at the European Absolute Championships (50 meters butterfly).
