One million at the Cathedral!

Against Boavista, in a game of matchday 21 of the Liga Bwin, held on February 20, and about seven months after the start, Benfica reached a total number of 992 190 presences at Luz, this season, among the various competitions.

At the same time that the displays and results of the team led by Roger Schmidt attract fans, the modernized image, since the beginning of 2023 (better lighting and sound, LED in the rings, and new giant screens), also boosts the attendance, in a unique, passionate, overwhelming, and chilling atmosphere. As the numbers show, Benfiquistas are not indifferent!

With an average of 55,122 fans per game, when it hosts Famalicão this Friday, March 3, at 9:15 pm, on matchday 23 of the Championship, the Cathedral will reach "1 million fans".

In all, including finals of the Champions League, Euro 2004, matches of the National Team, women's football, presentation matches, and friendly matches, among others, the official number of spectators that the Estádio da Luz has received is, to date, 21,457,849, and could reach 21,500,000.
