The Benfica Foundation and FLH Hotels from the Feelslikehome group signed a partnership, this Friday, March 17, that will allow the revitalization of the old Sport Lisboa e Benfica headquarters building, at Rua Jardim do Regedor.

It is a historical building that was donated by the Club to the Benfica Foundation, in order to ensure the appropriate heritage for the fulfillment of its Mission, in Portugal and in the World.

This project to transform the building into a Hotel - 1904 Benfica Hotel - will ensure the reuse of this symbolic space, having as a concept the History of Sport Lisboa e Benfica and will invoke the collective memory of the Club's members and supporters regarding its old headquarters.

The lease agreement that links the two institutions will also be a valuable contribution to the requalification of this area in downtown Lisbon.

Rui Costa, President of Sport Lisboa e Benfica and of the Benfica Foundation; Carlos Moia, executive president of the Benfica Foundation; António Quintão and Miguel Rodrigues, partners of FLH Hotels, were present at the moment.

Benfica-Tirsense: extended match highlights (4-0)

In front of almost 50,000 spectators at the Estádio da Luz, Benfica confirmed their qualification for the 2024/2025 Portuguese Cup final on Wednesday night, April 23, by beating Tirsense 4-0 in the second leg of the semi-final (goals from António Silva, Bajrami, Belotti and Barreiro). In the first game, the Eagles had won 0-5. Thus, with a 9-0 aggregate in the semi-final, the Glorioso reached the decisive match of the Portuguese Cup for the 39th time. On their way to Jamor, the Reds overcame Pevidém (0-2), Estrela da Amadora (7-0), Farense (1-3), SC Braga (1-0) and, finally, Tirsense in a two-legged tie.

A moving tribute to Humberto Coelho

Having celebrated his 75th birthday on Sunday, April 20, Humberto Coelho received a heartfelt and well-deserved tribute on Wednesday, April 23, at the Estádio da Luz, during half-time of the Benfica-Tirsense (4-0) second leg of the Portuguese Cup semi-finals. Captain for many years, he wore the Manto Sagrado for “14 fantastic seasons” and, on the pitch, he gave a special thanks to the fans. "This is more than soul, it's an extraordinary mystique! Only at Benfica can you feel this recognition and this glory and memory of having played for the best club in the world," said the former central defender.
