Draw at the UEFA headquarter

DRAW

Benfica will face Inter (Italy) in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. The draw for this phase of the competition was held this Friday, March 17, at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

Roger Schmidt's men will play the first leg at Estádio da Luz. The first leg will take place on April 11/12, while the second leg is scheduled for April 18/19.

Inter and AC Milan, clubs that share a stadium, could not both play as guests in the first leg; priority was given to the defending champion AC Milan, and so Benfica went from visitor to guest in the first leg of the quarterfinals, welcoming Inter to the Estádio da Luz.

INTER'S X-RAY

The last Italian club to win the Champions League, in 2010, goes by the name of Internazionale Milano, also known as Inter. Founded in 1908 from a split of Milan fans, who defended the use of foreign players, hence the name, it soon distinguished itself in its country, being today, along with its arch rival, with which it shares a stadium, the second most decorated club in Serie A.
