Bah stood out in Denmark's win (3-1) over Finland this Thursday, March 23, in Copenhagen, on matchday 1 of group H of the 2024 European Championship Qualifiers. Benfica's right-back provided an assist and took the corner that resulted in the second goal.

Denmark will now travel to Astana, this Sunday, March 26, where they will face Kazakhstan at 2 pm, on matchday 2 of group H.

GONÇALO RAMOS AND JOÃO MÁRIO CAME OFF THE BENCH

Also for the 2024 European Championships, Gonçalo Ramos and João Mário came off the bench in Portugal's home match against Liechtenstein, which ended with a 4-0 win for the Portuguese national team. Goals from João Cancelo (8') Bernardo Silva (47') and Cristiano Ronaldo (51' pk and 63'). 

Portugal faces Luxembourg this Sunday, March 26, on matchday 2 of group J, in a match scheduled for 7:45 pm at the Luxembourg Stadium.

OTAMENDI WAS A STARTER AT THE CONSECRATION CEREMONY

This Thursday, Otamendi, Benfica's skipper, was a starter in Argentina's friendly match against Panama, held at the Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti, in Buenos Aires, in which the World Champions won by 2-0 (Thiago Almada, 78'; and Messi, 89').

Argentina has another friendly match scheduled for Tuesday, March 28, at midnight, against Curaçao, at the Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades, in Santiago del Estero.

Liga BPI | Cristina Prieto receives trophy for Best Player

Elected Best Player of the Liga BPI 2024/25 in the vote organized by the Players' Union, Cristina Prieto, Benfica's women's football team, received the trophy at Benfica Campus. Grateful for the distinction, the Spanish international told BTV about her “good season” and didn't forget the rest of the Reds' players. "It's an individual award and I couldn't have won it without my teammates. It was the team that made me win this award," said the goalscorer, who is in her first season at the club. "You never think the first year will be like this. I'd like to thank everyone who voted for me and the Benfiquistas. It's an award that shows that the season went well," said Cristina Prieto, an important element in winning the Fifth League Title in a row.

Pavlidis reaches 50 games with an eagle on his chest

Pavlidis reached his 50th appearance for Benfica's professional football team in the 1-2 over Estoril, on matchday 32 of the Liga Betclic, on May 3. The Greek international, signed at the start of the 2024/25 season, has 28 goals and 10 assists in the games he has played, in around 3,290 minutes of use. The No14 has 32 games and 18 goals in the Liga Betclic, 12 games and 7 goals in the Champions League, 3 games and 1 goal in the Portuguese Cup, as well as 3 games and 2 goals in the League Cup.

This Sunday, May 4, Benfica Campus' Field No. 1 was the stage for celebrating the 26th national Under-19 title. Needing just one point to celebrate, Benfica's U19 team became champions after a 2-2 draw against FC Porto in round 13 of the championship round, and lifted the trophy on the pitch, celebrating afterward with the fans who were tireless in their support for Luís Araújo's team. Estoril-Benfica: extended highlights (1-2)

What a great atmosphere in Amoreira, it's the Red Wave! Visiting the Estádio António Coimbra da Mota for the 32nd and antepenultimate matchday of the Liga Betclic, Benfica imposed themselves and won 1-2. The Eagles' goals on Saturday night, May 3, were scored by Aursnes and Otamendi.
