Launched during the second half of Benfica's match in Chaves on matchday 28 of the Liga Bwin, Guedes analyzed the match, which had an unfavorable result for the eagles (1-0).

"We stepped onto the pitch to get the three points, we did everything possible to win, we couldn't. We had this misfortune at the end that caused us to lose at least a point. We leave here sad because we wanted to win, but it is to continue to work, to be at a great level. We are in first place, we want to remain in first place, to win the Championship, that is the most important thing", claimed the forward of the leader of the Liga Bwin.

"We only think about being united everywhere, being together, always together. That is the Benfica mystique, always together until the end to achieve our goals. We will do things the same way, go in to win and turn this not-so-good phase around", finished Guedes.

Day 1 of a new journey

The 2025/26 preseason officially kicked off on Monday, July 14, with medical checks and physical tests between Hospital da Luz and Benfica Campus. In an atmosphere of reunions, renewed energy, and focus on what comes next, 28 players are present on this first day of work of Sport Lisboa e Benfica.
