PREVIEW

Acknowledging the determination and ambition of the squad to complete a comeback in the 2nd leg of the Champions League quarterfinals, António Silva launched the clash between Benfica and Inter, scheduled for 8 pm on Wednesday, April 19, at the San Siro Stadium.

António Silva

You are the third Benfica player with more minutes in the Champions League. How do you feel for tomorrow's game [Wednesday]?

We know it's 2-0, we're going to play against a very strong team, but we have our weapons. We will carry over into tomorrow [Wednesday] what we have been doing throughout the season. We have been showing excellent football this year, and we will try to make history for Benfica, which is something that makes us very proud.

Do you believe Benfica can turn the result around?

In a club like Benfica, nothing is impossible. We are an ambitious club, and we have our ambition in what is this Champions League. We know that 2-0 is a reversible result and that's what we will try to do tomorrow [Wednesday], with the kind of football that gave Benfiquistas so much joy during the season.

How does a 19-year-old player face the most difficult moment of Benfica's season, in one of the most emblematic stadiums in Europe, in front of 75 thousand fans?

I live it like my teammates. At Benfica, it's not normal to have three defeats in a row, but we have to look at the opportunity we have tomorrow [Wednesday]. Benfica has never reached the semi-finals in this format of the Champions League. We will try to make history and I, being young and a Benfica fan, have the enormous ambition of being able to make history for Benfica, just like my teammates.
