A goal from Rafa earned a 1-0 victory over Braga on Saturday, on matchday 31 of the Liga Bwin. Having beaten the third-placed team, Benfica goes into the final three rounds of the competition with the certainty of at least maintaining its four-point advantage over its most direct pursuer.

Authoritative, serene and determined to win the three points in an important duel in the title race, Benfica started the game very well, circulating the ball safely and imposing its law with only one change in relation to the eleven launched against Gil Vicente: Chiquinho replaced Florentino next to João Neves, in the midfield.
