The European Night of Museums is celebrated at the Benfica Museum - Cosme Damião! Between 6 pm and midnight on Saturday, May 20, the Museum opens its doors for free and Estádio da Luz joins the festivities, with special schedule and prices.

With 50 percent discount over the regular price table, the Sport Lisboa e Benfica stadium will be open from 6 pm to 10 pm. The admission to both spaces is upon presentation of a ticket, which can be obtained at the Benfica Official Store at the stadium.

Part of the Club Museum's quarterly program, the initiative is held in the scope of the European Night of Museums, a dynamic proposed in 2005 by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication and supported by the International Council of Museums (ICOM).

As such, in addition to the opportunity to visit the sites at night, visitors will have the chance to participate in the Stories of History guided tour, at the Benfica Museum. Participation is free of charge, but prior registration is required.

Another unforgettable evening at the stadium and museum

On the day of SL Benfica's 121st anniversary, Friday, February 28, the Estádio da Luz and the Benfica Museum – Cosme Damião opened their doors once again for night visits. For the 3rd month running, Stadium & Museum By Night sold out with 750 people attending. Participants were surprised by the Cathedral's nocturnal illuminations and were presented with the Club's birthday cake. At the Museum, they were able to walk through the corridors of Benfica's glorious history, and it is worth noting that the writer André Pereira was present and offered some visitors portraits written in the form of poems. Another special Benfica evening, in communion between the Club's fans!

On December 20, the Benfica Museum - Cosme Damião and the Estádio da Luz opened their doors between 6 pm and 11 pm for night visits as part of the Christmas edition of the Museum & Stadium By Night initiative. During this period, between kids and adults, around 750 people flocked to the Cathedral to take part in the various activities held throughout the afternoon/evening. See the photo gallery HERE.

With Christmas coming up, the Benfica Museum - Cosme Damião and the Estádio da Luz opened especially for night tours, which took place on December 20, between 6 pm and 11 pm. During this period, around 750 people had the opportunity to see the Cathedral with special lighting and to take part in a series of initiatives at the Museum, in the presence of the Club's mascot. The younger ones were also able to write letters to Santa Claus to be in with a chance of winning a very special prize.
