Launched as a starter by coach Joaquim Milheiro, Hugo Félix scored the fourth goal and made an assist in Portugal's 5-1 victory over Italy. With the three points earned on Thursday, July 6, the Under-19 National Team secured qualification for the semi-finals of the European Championship of the category, which is being held in Malta. 

Nuno Félix was also a starter and played the 90 minutes, while Diogo Prioste came off the bench in the 63rd minute.

The U-19s' next game is scheduled for Sunday, July 9, against hosts Malta.

"The main objective of the academy is to develop the athlete with the Benfica methodology and combine the academic part with the athletic part," Ruy Castelo Branco told BTV. “Feeling and experiencing this on a daily basis, especially the energy of the Benfica Campus, is enriching,” he said, noting that the goal is to continue cementing the Club's values in the United States.
