Sport Lisboa e Benfica inform that have reach an agreement with Celta de Vigo, from Spain, for the permanent transfer of Mihailo.

After a three and a half years in Ligue 1 (France), Mihailo joined Benfica in the 2022 summer transfer window. Competing for a place on the left side, the Serbian international made his debut in August 27, 2022, when the reds visited Estádio do Bessa. Coming off the bench, contributed to the win the game in Matchday 4 of the National Championship.

It was Mihailo’s first of eight appearances with the first team in the main Portuguese competition, whose edition ended with Benfica celebrating the 38th national title of their honors. The left-back also scored a great goal in the competition, against Estoril at the Estádio António Coimbra da Mota, in Matchday 12.

During the 2022/23 season, Mihailo also played a game in the League Cup and two in the Portuguese Cup. 

The 2023/24 season officially began in Portugal with Benfica winning the Super Cup, in the "clássico" with Mihailo as starter. 

With the sacred mantle on, the Serbian international totaled 12 appearances in four different events, with a balance of nine wins and two draws. He became national champion and raised a Super Cup! Now, the player begins a new chapter in his professional career.
