Benfica's António Silva, Kökcü and Musa were used on Friday, September 8, in their respective teams' matches in the qualification for the 2024 European Championship.

The protagonist of a solid and focused display, center-back António Silva played 90 minutes in Portugal's victory over Slovakia (0-1), contributing to the national team's continued perfect record in Group J: four wins in as many games. Portugal returns to the pitch next Monday, September 11, against Luxembourg at the Estádio Algarve.

In Eskisehir, Benfica's number 10, Kökcü, started for Turkey and played the entire match against Armenia, which ended in a draw (1-1). In the same Group D, Musa, the Eagles' forward, came off the bench for Croatia in the 67th minute in their 5-0 home win over Latvia. The Croats will play Armenia on Monday, September 11, while the Turks play Japan the following day (September 12) in Genk (Belgium).
