This Tuesday, September 12, the Benfica players João Neves, Samuel Soares and Tomás Araújo were starters in Portugal's Under-21s' 0-5 win over Belarus in a qualifying match for the 2025 European Championship.

Henrique Araújo, a striker on loan from Benfica to Famalicão, scored the 0-2.

Rui Jorge's team leads the group with six points from two games and will return to the pitch for a double-header against Belarus and Greece on October 13 and 17, respectively.

An enriching visit

Ruy Castelo Branco, director of the Benfica Residential Academy, and Adriano Laaber, coach of the Benfica Residential Academy women's team, visited the Benfica Campus on Tuesday, May 20, where they had the opportunity to follow the daily activities. "The main objective of the academy is to develop the athlete with the Benfica methodology and combine the academic part with the athletic part," Ruy Castelo Branco told BTV. “Feeling and experiencing this on a daily basis, especially the energy of the Benfica Campus, is enriching,” he said, noting that the goal is to continue cementing the Club's values in the United States.
