Svava Gudmundsdóttir's CV includes spells in top leagues, where she has represented clubs such as Valur and Breidablik (Iceland), Roa IL (Norway), Kristianstads DFF (Sweden), Bordeaux (France), Brann (Norway) and, most recently, Gotham FC (USA). With an eagle on her chest, the forward hopes to help the team and continue the good work that has been done, particularly in the Champions League.
"I'm very happy, Benfica is a great club with a long history. I saw the team last season [2022/23] in the Champions League, where they did very well," stressed Svava Gudmundsdóttir, pointing out what she can bring to the team's ongoing process of sustained growth.
", I hope to bring some speed and strength to the team and, of course, score goals"
Svava Gudmundsdóttir
"Benfica must continue to do the same, I hope to bring some speed and strength to the team and, of course, score a few goals", she told BTV "the Portuguese league has improved and will be at the top one day".
Svava Gudmundsdóttir said she was "very excited" at the prospect of "being with the Benfica fans and meeting her teammates."
