Troféu da UEFA Champions League feminina

Women's Champions League trophy

Held on Friday, October 20, in Nyon, the draw for the Champions League group stage determined that Benfica's women's football team will face European champions Barcelona (Spain), Rosengard (Sweden) and Eintracht Frankfurt (Germany) in Group A.

Benfica will thus meet Barcelona again, also rivals in 2022/23, as well as Rosengard, who the Eagles beat in the two Group D clashes at the time (1-3 and 1-0).

"The best teams in Europe take part in this stage and we would have had to play any of them. We were drawn against Barcelona and Rosengard, two clubs we met last season, and Eintracht Frankfurt, a club with decades of experience in women's football and winners of the Champions League. We expect difficulties, but our opponents will also expect difficulties when they play Benfica. It's these games that will make our team develop even more," commented Luís Batista, the team's team manager.
