FIRST DAY
"I remember it very well, it was against Arouca. It was the first match, a unique feeling because I was arriving at the club with a lot of expectations and I ended up coming on at half-time. We won 4-1, I scored the 4th goal, and it was wonderful, something I'll remember forever."
BEST MOMENT
"The titles we won during all the years I was at Benfica. That emotion, that celebration, Estádio da Luz with more than 65,000 fans cheering us on. Those moments stay with you forever and make a mark, because titles also put you in the club's history."
NOSTALGIA
"The 60-something thousand fans, for whom it's incredible to play... I had no idea what it was like to play at Estádio da Luz and, when I started to be part of the team, I realized that here there really is a difference when you play. It was really special to play at Estádio da Luz"
A STORY
"It's hard to remember, it's been so many years here... But I remember the atmosphere, the arrival of the bus. I remember when we played for the title here, from the arrival crowded with people... And then the 90 minutes, the celebrations at the end, the tunnel through which you enter one by one, with your name after an achievement... All of this encompasses what this stadium means to everyone who has had the privilege of playing here. I'm one of them and I'm left with all those memories."
THE CHAMPIONS WALL
"We know that there have been so many players who have passed through this club, and to be honored among the 20 is very satisfying, I'll carry that forever, I have a lot of gratitude and love for this club. It's the club I've most identified with, and I'd like to thank everyone who voted for me. Without those votes, I wouldn't be here today being honored."
MEMORY
"It was against Estoril, I can't remember the season [matchday 31, 2016/17 season], but it was a difficult game, we won 1-2. It was a shot from outside the box, where I ended up taking a chance, and it worked, scoring a beautiful goal. It was also important for the team to win and stay in first place. It was great, and then to go out with the fans and my teammates to celebrate... Their support makes all the difference. As it was a difficult game, in the final stages of the championship, a draw could have cost us the championship... That second goal gave us peace of mind, we went ahead. There's nothing like celebrating with the fans."
