With Benfica's Jurásek on the bench, Czechia beat Moldova 3-0 to secure qualification for the final phase of the 2024 European Championship, which will be held in Germany. Trubin made a solid display in Ukraine's 1-1 draw with Italy.

Used in five Czech matches during the qualifying phase, Benfica left-back Jurásek didn't come off the bench in the win over Moldova, which allowed Jaroslav Silhavy's side to overtake Albania and finish in first place in Group E.

In one of the most eagerly awaited matches on Monday night, eagles goalkeeper Trubin started for the Ukrainian national team and was in top form against Italy. Needing to win to guarantee direct qualification, Ukraine were held to a goalless draw and will now compete in the play-offs: their opponents will depend on the outcome of the matches on Tuesday, November 21.
