Tengstedt: "I helped the team as best I could"

After providing two assists in Benfica's draw against Inter Milan (3-3), on matchday 5 of Group D of the Champions League, Tengstedt gave credit to the team for the work they did, but stressed that "it wasn't enough" to avoid sharing the spoils.

With three goals from João Mário, two of them - the 1-0 and the 3-0 - assisted by the Danish striker, Benfica led 3-0 at half-time, a result equalized at 3-3 by Inter Milan in the second half.

"It's hard to say what happened. They had only conceded two goals [Real Sociedad and Salzburg] in this Champions League, so to score three in the first half was a great job by us. Football has its ups and downs, we tried our best in the second half, but it wasn't enough", said the striker.

Individually, Tengstedt, who was also involved in the Reds' second goal, along with the chances he made, said he felt "good and confident on the pitch".

"When I play, I believe in myself. It was good to be part of this team today, I helped as best I could," he claimed.

The Eagles' number 19 described the atmosphere at the Estádio da Luz as "very good" and congratulated João Mário on his "three great goals": "He deserved them, and I'm very happy for him."
