António Silva: "We tried everything until the end"

Benfica shared points with Moreirense on Sunday, December 3, at the Estádio Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas, on matchday 12 of the Liga Betclic, a result (0-0) that António Silva described as "frustrating", given the "clear opportunities" that the Reds created throughout the game.

"A draw is definitely not what we wanted. We started the game a bit poorly. In the first 10 or 15 minutes, we gave our opponents chances, but from then on we started to play. We had a few chances in the first half that we didn't take, and we went into the break with the intention of trying to score in the second half and not concede. We were balanced at the back, but it wasn't possible. The minutes went by, and we tried everything until the end," said the center-back.

"Benfica had clear chances to score, I think there was a lack of clarity at the end of the game, which is normal. We wanted to win, but we couldn't", added António Silva.

Asked about the team's momentum and recent results - wins against Sporting and Famalicão, and a draw against Inter Milan - António Silva said that the squad was "confident".
