Voted Best Defender of January in the Liga 2, Gustavo Marques, Benfica B central defender, received his award at the Benfica Campus.

Speaking to BTV, the Brazilian defender expressed his satisfaction at the recognition. "This award isn't just for me. It's for the team and it's for the incredible month and the victories we've had," said Gustavo Marques, a starter in all four matches (Belenenses (W 2-1), FC Porto B (W 0-3), Mafra (W 1-2) and União de Leiria (D 0-1).

Scorer of one of the goals in the 0-3 win over FC Porto B, the No. 76 player believes that Liga 2 is a difficult competition. "We always have to be focused. I'm here to do my best in matches and training," he said, grateful for the way he's been welcomed by the group.

The Reds' defender received 22.22% of the preferences of the competition's head coaches, beating Pedro Pacheco, from Santa Clara, with 13.33%, and Clayton, from AVS, with 11.11%.

Pavlidis reaches 50 games with an eagle on his chest

Pavlidis reached his 50th appearance for Benfica's professional football team in the 1-2 over Estoril, on matchday 32 of the Liga Betclic, on May 3. The Greek international, signed at the start of the 2024/25 season, has 28 goals and 10 assists in the games he has played, in around 3,290 minutes of use. The No14 has 32 games and 18 goals in the Liga Betclic, 12 games and 7 goals in the Champions League, 3 games and 1 goal in the Portuguese Cup, as well as 3 games and 2 goals in the League Cup.

This Sunday, May 4, Benfica Campus' Field No. 1 was the stage for celebrating the 26th national Under-19 title. Needing just one point to celebrate, Benfica's U19 team became champions after a 2-2 draw against FC Porto in round 13 of the championship round, and lifted the trophy on the pitch, celebrating afterward with the fans who were tireless in their support for Luís Araújo's team. What a great atmosphere in Amoreira, it's the Red Wave! Visiting the Estádio António Coimbra da Mota for the 32nd and antepenultimate matchday of the Liga Betclic, Benfica imposed themselves and won 1-2. The Eagles' goals on Saturday night, May 3, were scored by Aursnes and Otamendi.

The celebration of the five-time champions at Benfica Campus!

Before and after the match from matchday 21 of the Liga BPI, against Clube de Albergaria (5-0), the women's football team of Benfica was showered with crowds while celebrating their 5th league in a row. The afternoon began with an autograph session attended by hundreds of fans and, at the end of the game, there was time to lift the trophy and take it to the central stand of Benfica Campus Field No. 1, in a celebration in total communion with the fans.
