Benfica's António Silva won the Liga Betclic Best Defender of the Month award for February. The Made in Benfica player received 16.67% of the votes from the managers.

A starter in three matches during the period under review (Gil Vicente, Vitória SC and Portimonense), the 20-year-old center-back played 259 minutes.

The Eagles' No. 4 beat Gonçalo Inácio (Sporting CP), who received 15.87% of the votes, and Eduardo Quaresma (Sporting CP), with 15.08% of the preferences of the coaches of the competing teams.

Benfica-Tirsense: extended match highlights (4-0)

In front of almost 50,000 spectators at the Estádio da Luz, Benfica confirmed their qualification for the 2024/2025 Portuguese Cup final on Wednesday night, April 23, by beating Tirsense 4-0 in the second leg of the semi-final (goals from António Silva, Bajrami, Belotti and Barreiro). In the first game, the Eagles had won 0-5. Thus, with a 9-0 aggregate in the semi-final, the Glorioso reached the decisive match of the Portuguese Cup for the 39th time. A moving tribute to Humberto Coelho

Having celebrated his 75th birthday on Sunday, April 20, Humberto Coelho received a heartfelt and well-deserved tribute on Wednesday, April 23, at the Estádio da Luz, during half-time of the Benfica-Tirsense (4-0) second leg of the Portuguese Cup semi-finals. Captain for many years, he wore the Manto Sagrado for “14 fantastic seasons” and, on the pitch, he gave a special thanks to the fans. "This is more than soul, it's an extraordinary mystique! Only at Benfica can you feel this recognition and this glory and memory of having played for the best club in the world," said the former central defender.
