Samuel Soares and Tomás Araújo, players in Benfica's first team, have been selected by the national Under-21 coach for the matches against the Faroe Islands and Croatia. Rafael Rodrigues and Pedro Santos, from the B team, have also been called up.

Rui Jorge's squad list is for the two qualifying matches for the European Championship 2025 (Slovakia) that will take place in Faro, at the Estádio São Luís.

The first match, against the Faroe Islands, is scheduled for March 21 at 5:30 pm, while the match against the Croatians will be played on March 26 at the same time.

Note that Paulo Bernardo, on loan from Benfica to Celtic, and Martim Neto, on loan to Gil Vicente, are also in the squad.

Portugal is in Group G of the qualifying phase and have 12 points from four wins in five games.

The U-21 National Team is scheduled to gather in Lagos on Monday, March 18.
