João Neves
After receiving the Man of the Match award, João Neves analyzed the match against the "Flavienses", starting by appealing to the fans: "After the international break, in this final part of the season, we need the support of the entire Benfica fan base. We still have a lot of competitions, and we want to do our best in all of them."
JOÃO NEVES' GOAL
As for the opposition, the midfielder, who scored the winning goal in the 68th minute, spoke of a "very compact team" that required "patience". "We created a lot of chances, but only managed to put one away. We're going to work harder on our finishing. But it was a very good game and very well done by the team," said the number 87 in statements to BTV.
As for the header, João Neves said he tries "to be a very complete player" and stressed that the important thing was that the ball went in: "It could have been me who scored, like any other player, but that's what we're there for."
