PERFECT SEASON ON THE HORIZON

In 2023/24, Benfica are aiming for a perfect season in domestic competitions. The season began with a victory in the Super Cup, in the derby against Sporting held at the Estádio Municipal de Aveiro (3-0, on the penalty shootout, after 1-1 in regulation time and extra time), and more recently, on May 1, the Inspiradoras once again beat their eternal rivals.

At the Estádio do Restelo, they lifted the League Cup, after a win over Sporting  (1-0, with a goal from Chandra Davidson), cementing their dominance in the competition (four wins in five editions).

Benfica-Racing Power

So the month of May could be synonymous with three victories in a short space of time! Having reached the fourth league title in a row, there's still the Portuguese Cup to play for, also against Racing Power. The match is scheduled for Sunday, May 19, at 5:15 pm in the Estadio Nacional.

FOUR LEAGUES, FOUR STAGES OF CELEBRATION

The Eagles began this glorious journey at the Estádio José Alvalade when they beat Sporting 0-3 to become champions for the first time in May 2021. A year later, the Estádio da Luz was the venue for the derby that won the championship for the second time (3-1 victory), and the third time was won at the Complexo Desportivo Valadares (0-2) in May 2023. This Saturday, May 11, for the first time, Benfica Campus was the venue for the celebrations!
